Trail Report February 18, 2021

Beware Snow Cat works 24/7 on the trails.

Swan Hills – Trails are in great shape, come and ride. Snow cat is out so beware.

Fox Creek: Trails are in great shape.

Whitecourt:We are expecting a beautiful weekend and looking forward to seeing our friends on the trails. We have not received any fresh snow; however, conditions are good despite low snow. There is still only 6-12″ out there, but the base is decent.
Trail Cleaning: All trails are cleaned a second time including the Golden Triangle sections
Grooming: The south side has been groomed a couple of times. The only trail not groomed yet is the Summit Cabin to Tom Hill Tower. The Goodwin has been groomed but has very low snow, ruts and dirt. The north side Carson Trail is groomed. Please use the Eagle River Staging area to go on the north side. Please beware that Snow Cats work 24-7. The cat will be out sometime in the next week on the Golden Triangle section between L & O.
Staging Areas (Groat Creek and Eagle River): Are open and graded.
Hazards: Trails can still a bit rough in places due to low snow-ride cautiously. Major waterways are not frozen and extremely rough. Beware of logging on the Golden Triangle Connector between Gundy Cabin and Virginia Hills and Logging by #15 & #16 (Carson Trail). The trail that crosses the road on #10 area is being used. Watch for signs and beware of big equipment.
We are working hard to keep our trails maintained and rideable for all sledders with the minimal amount of snow. We would ask that all ATV/UTV’s and wheeled vehicles, to please not drive on the snowmobile trail system. The ruts make it dangerous for snowmobiles and extra work for our groomers.
Have a great weekend everyone!
