Swan Hills Snow-Goers Weekly Trail Report – Thursday January 1st, 2026

The trail section between Tamarack and Goose Tower Road remains closed.
Trail west of town to Fox Creek is in good shape.
The staging area at the ball diamonds has been cleared.
Old Road Trail east of town has been inspected, but it has not been groomed yet up to Rainbow Creek Cabin.
Caution is advised due to active logging and power line work between the Great Canadian snowmobile trail and Timeu Creek loop. Part of the trail South to Whitecourt is inspected, but use caution there is active logging in the area.
Snow Cat grooming is scheduled for this week. Additionally, we’ve had rain most of week, changing to snow is throughout the rest of the week.
