Swan Hills – The Snow Cat has filled the creeks. Received fresh snow this past week. Trail Cleaning a portion of the Golden Triangle close to Whitecourt due to strong winds and trees down.
Fox Creek – All trails have been groomed twice. Fresh snow this past week – 6″.
Whitecourt -We have received fresh snow everyday over the past week. We have about 6-12″ on the trails. Things are looking a bit more snowy out there and our sledding season has begun.
Trail Cleaning: Thanks again to all of our trail cleaners on both the north and south trails, who cleaned a second time after our big snow squal. Trail cleaning will be finished on the north side today and we hope to be finished trail cleaning later next week on the Golden Triangle section from Carson Cabin to Letter O. We will then be filling creeks with the snow cat on the connector between L & O.
Grooming: We groomed on the south side Summit Trail to Summit Cabin, as well on Bessie and Manweiler Trails.
Hazards: Major waterways are not frozen and extremely rough. Beware of logging on the Golden Triangle Connector between Gundy Cabin and Virginia Hills and Logging by #15 & #16 (Carson Trail). The trail that crosses the road on #10 area is being used. Watch for signs and beware of big equipment.
